Do you live far away? Our Flight Nanny Service is Detailed Below.

PictureJeff delivered these clients their kitten. This is our personal flight nanny service, MPMC.
Do you need long-distance delivery? Over 90% of our families live out of state, so many of them choose to use our personal flight nanny service, while others travel to our home in Freeport, Florida to pick up their kitten in person.

With our flight nanny option, your kitten flies safely in-cabin with Jeff (and occasionally my sister-in-law Heather). We personally meet you at your selected airport, so your kitten is never shipped cargo or handled by strangers during travel.

You are also always welcome to travel to beautiful Freeport, Florida for pickup. We are located just minutes from the Gulf Coast. If you plan to stay overnight, Santa Rosa Beach is a wonderful nearby area we often recommend, and it is only about 20 minutes from us.

How the Flight Nanny Process Works and Related Fees Below

The flight nanny fee is paid in two parts:

1.) Flight Booking Fee Portion:
Once the kitten is born and we are confident everything is progressing well (typically around 6 to 9 weeks of age), we coordinate and book the flight together with you.
At that time, the following is due immediately after booking:
  •  Roundtrip airline ticket for the nanny
  •  One-way in-cabin kitten ticket fee

The roundtrip flight typically ranges from approximately $400 to $600, depending on location and airline pricing. The in-cabin kitten fee is generally $100 to $150 depending on the airline.

2.)
Delivery Fee Portion:
The final delivery fee is $400 (plus a tip) and is paid in cash at the airport when you receive your kitten.
Families also provide a tip for the flight nanny, which helps cover travel-related expenses such as gas, airport parking, and meals. Most deliveries take anywhere from 18 to 24 hours from the time Jeff (or Heather) leaves our home until they return.

Why Families Tip the Flight Nanny
Flight nanny trips are extremely time-consuming and often involve very long travel days, delays, layovers, and occasionally unexpected overnight stays due to airline cancellations or weather issues. Because of the amount of time, energy, and flexibility involved, it is customary to tip the flight nanny in addition to the delivery fee.

As a general reference, tips from families have typically ranged from $75 to $300, though any amount is always sincerely appreciated.

In some situations, return flights may be delayed or cancelled unexpectedly, requiring an overnight hotel stay. In those cases, hotel, food, and other travel-related expenses are covered through the flight nanny fee and tips (which costs the entire delivery fee). In the past, I charged families separately for many of these additional expenses, but I now try to simplify the process and help offset those costs for my clients whenever possible.

We hope this helps explain the process! Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions.
