▶️ Do your cats and kittens live in your home?
Yes! As a small hobby cattery, we have only a few litters a year, and this helps with how we run our program more intimately. Many catteries have a separate outside building for their cats/kittens (particularly stud cats) but our Queens and King are in our home. Our Maine Coons are a part of our family, and our Queens and King have excellent manners despite not being spayed/neutered. They have a dedicated cat room with an attached Catio that they always have access to enjoy, and our kittens are raised underfoot as a part of our family from birth. You can see videos of our home cattery on the Available Kitten and King and Queens pages. We have incredibly well socialized kittens that adapt quickly to their new home and family. We get endless compliments about how well socialized, outgoing, and sweet our kittens are from day one in their new home.
▶️ When do the kittens go home?
Kittens go to their new homes at 13 to 14 weeks of age. Pickup is always prescheduled for a Saturday. Please ensure you are available on the specified Saturday, as rarely are exceptions made. Families typically come between 1:00 to 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. For those needing a flight nanny, separate dates will be scheduled, and flight nanny details are below.
▶️ Will I receive pictures and updates of my reserved kitten before bringing them home?
Yes, I send picture updates every two weeks from the time we identify your kitten until they go home. I also post videos on our social media pages and send helpful emails to prepare you for your new kitten. Deposit list applicants are contacted when the kittens are 8 to 10 weeks old.

Each kitten comes with a WELCOME HOME KITTEN CARE PACKAGE.
▶️ What size are your Maine Coons?
Our Maine Coons are within or exceed the higher weight range for the breed. Male adults typically weigh 18 to 23 pounds, and female adults weigh 14 to 19 pounds. We focus on maintaining a healthy weight/size without compromising their health.
▶️ What colors do you have?
We have a variety of colors including mostly Black Smoke but also Black, Silver Tabby, Silver Torbie, Black Smoke Tortie, Black Tortie, Red Tabby, Red Smoke, and Black/Brown Tabby.
▶️ Are your adults and kittens registered?
Yes, we are a registered cattery with TICA (MountainPeakMC). To verify, call TICA customer service at (956) 428-804. Provide this information: Mountain Peak MC, TICA Cattery ID #103266, Breeder is Daphne Riggs, Region is South Central, CO. Please note that the TICA website no longer lists all catteries; only those who pay yearly to be listed and agree to early spay/neuter are included. My reproductive vet does not recommend spaying/neutering before a minimum age of 20 weeks. I trust their expertise in this specialized field; therefore, I will not be paying to be listed on their website at this time.
▶️ Do you offer breeding rights or showing?
No, our kittens are for pet homes only and must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age. However, our kittens can be shown at TICA shows.
▶️ Do you DNA health test?
Yes, through Optimal Selection Feline Genetic Breeding Analysis, affiliated with TICA & the OFA. We test for various conditions including Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and more.
▶️ Do your adults and kittens have regular veterinarian check-ups and vaccines?
Yes, all our cats see a vet annually or as needed. Each kitten receives a full veterinarian exam, first vaccines, and a nail trim before going home. Veterinarian paperwork is provided with each kitten. Check out our Welcome Home Kitten Care Packet.

Yes, we offer a two-year health contract.
▶️ How do I get on your Deposit Wait List?
Fill out a KITTEN APPLICATION, and I will respond within 24 hours. Check your junk/spam folder for my reply. My deposit list is typically booked out 9 to 12 months in advance.
▶️ Where are you located?
We are located in South Central, CO but also will be living part of the year in Arizona too. Over 90% of our clients are out-of-state and use the flight nanny option for delivery, see those details linked HERE.
▶️ Do you have long-distance delivery options for a reasonable fee?
Yes, we offer personal long-distance delivery options from our arms to yours. Most of our clients use the flight nanny service, which ensures your kitten is in constant care during the journey. Click the link to read about our personal flight nanny service click HERE.
▶️ How much are your Maine Coon kittens?
Deposits are $500. Kittens range in price from $2400 to $4000 (the deposit is deducted from this total price). Specific prices are available on the KITTEN PRICING PAGE. Please note that 2/3rds of the kitten fee covers overhead and taxes.
▶️ What are your payment options?
Deposits can be made via Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, Square (credit card), or check. Final payments are accepted via Zelle or check, with occasional acceptance of credit card payments via Square.
▶️ Visitor and Pickup Policy?
Our home is not open to the public for safety and health reasons. However, we do allow pickups at our home. We have numerous ways to verify our cattery online, including testimonies from past clients and social media, this page, and more.

Maine Coons grow until they are 3 or 4 years old although I've been told she'll slow down. She's from Mountain Peak Maine Coons in Colorado Springs. Cannot recommend. Daphne more highly.
